Use non-sensitive test material while you review data-use conditions. Keep credentials private and do not submit them to a site or seller in exchange for a promised bonus. The account should remain under your control.
Plan for exhaustion and expiry
Determine whether work stops, continues under an authorized paid plan, or needs another account action. Where quota-only settings exist, verify that they apply to the chosen model and test their behavior. Build your own bounded task and concurrency controls as well.
Maintain a shadow estimate of what the same usage would cost without the allowance. The immediate bill can be subsidized while the underlying product remains expensive. This distinction becomes essential when an experiment turns into a production feature.
